Shane Swett

Shane Swett owns A1 Recovery and Towing in Laramie and has spent his life in Albany County raising a family. For more than twenty years he and his partners have given free rides on New Year’s Eve so neighbors get home safe, a service recognized by governors, the sheriff, and city leaders. He competes on the track, where determination and grit decide the finish.
Shane won the Republican primary for House District 13 on August 18, 2026. He signed the U.S. Term Limits pledge because he believes people should serve in Cheyenne and then come home to live under the same rules.
Property taxes are pushing families and seniors out of the homes they worked a lifetime to own. Shane will make relief permanent and automatic so homeowners no longer reapply every year, keeping valuations steady without cutting the emergency services people rely on.
Young families, workers, and older residents are priced out of housing by permitting delays and outdated zoning. Shane will clear that red tape so local builders can put up homes people can actually afford.
State education dollars need to reach teachers and classrooms, not overhead. He will protect budgets for the University of Wyoming and local schools while insisting on audits and local control so Laramie parents and school boards decide what is best for the kids.
The same focus that keeps Laramie safer on New Year’s and wins races is what Shane will take to the House.
