About the event
What are Precinct Caucuses?
We will meet as one body when the Party Chairwoman convenes the meeting, and then divide into groups based on our perspective precincts. There are (11) different precincts in Albany County. During registration, you will be notified of the precinct you reside in. In these precinct "groups", or caucuses, a chair from within each Precinct Caucus is elected to run the Precinct Caucus meeting (Precinct Caucus chairs are to be elected from the Precinct Committee people present per the Party Bylaws).
Each Precinct Caucus will then discuss proposed changes/edits/additions to the Party bylaws, resolutions, and platform. These updates will be taken to the County Convention for deliberation and to be voted on. The precincts will also elect their delegates & alternates to the County Convention.
